I don't want to be too pushy, but what about promoting your line of dishes to the world. That would be a dream come true to every good goan cook. I was having dinner at an authentic Chinese restaurant at Leicester Square with some colleagues when the chef came and suggested his special dessert and spoke yarns about it.

Then the waitress came and served us a sweet dish. And yo! It was a chinese version of our very own ghoddshem. What was missing was the madache godd. It was substitued by something sweet. And you get some flakes of dried sweet potato in it.

The same goes with most of the Chinese dishes and for pizzas and pastas as well. It's time for to have a business model for it where everything get's standardised. ... and also getting the patents

It's so good to have come across this site. I was looking high and low for a site with authentic goan recipes.

I am preparing for Easter and thought of working on some delicious marzipan. However it's been ages since I've got down to making it so have forgotten how it is made in the right way. I would certainly appreciate if you could please post me the recipe for it.

Hi Clyde, thanks to you and your mum for sharing these wonderful recipes. Came across this website by accident and am already planning my weekly menu. We are in Australia and really miss the Goa sausages. Do you have the recipe for this? BTW, my favourite restaurants in Goa are Florentines - absolute VFM, Martins Corner and Mickey's (sons fav for steaks!). Of course, cannot end without mentioning the Goan hospitality. Tops! Just one comment: Goa was not a portuguese colony at the time of the indian invasion. It was the capital of a State - the Portuguese State of India, with more independence than it have now. Political, the Portuguese State of India was similar to Canada or other nations not british but having the Queen of England as formal leader.

My mom ,who was visiting my brother in New Zealand and was invited for dinner to a friend's place.
She was introduced to your recipes,via the food prepared- Caldine curry,Shark Ambot Tik.
